EMF is an international music non-profit project for education and performance. We have been creating festivals and mentoring young musicians interacting between East and West since 2010. We base our headquarters in Majorca and Shanghai.

EMF offer international music projects which are taking place in distinctive venues from Europe welcoming over 400 students from all over the world.

Regularly, EMF cooperates with the world’s most remarkable figures in the classical music industry as Alfred Brendel, Arcadi Volodos, Grigory Sokolov, Borodin Quartet, Boris Kuschnir, Natalia Gutman, among others.

An itinerant program. Every year it takes place in a different city.

This program places Europe as a meeting point and platform for young pianists from Asia who are willing to pursue their professional career across the continent. The CICLO DE GRANDES MAESTROS. This platform interacts with EPF and EST and aims to offer a set of first-rate classical concerts. Since his creation the concert series has been receiving world class musicians the Borodin Quartet, Boris Kuschnir, Grigory Sokolov, Nelson Goerner, Arcadi Volodos and Alfred Brendel.

The Fest-YN is an initiative born in 2015 and its aim is to bring the artistic excellence to the towns of Yetas and Nerpio to revitalise their cultural tourism during Summer. Yetas, is a village in the mountains in South East Spain with less than 20 habitants. The town is at high-risk of depopulation and needs initiatives to attract tourism in the area. For this purpose European Music Foundation organises a Summer Camp for international students.

Created in 2010, this program offers recitals and masterclasses attended by international young pianists in the medieval tower of Canyamel (Majorca, Spain). Since his creation, it has built a strong connection with teachers and graduated students from the Royal College of Music in London. This festival is hosted by Grupo Torre de Canyamel.

The ‘Frederic Chopin International Piano Competition in Valldemossa’, was created in 2016 commemorating the stay of Frederic Chopin in Spain. Chopin stayed in Valldemossa, a village on the island of Mallorca. Chopin and the writer George Sand stayed in Valldemossa from the end of 1838 until February 1839. Their time in the island left a mark on both creators, and aloud to the polish composer, the composition of works as his Preludes Op. 28.

In most of the international programs, we are including the transportation from the European local airport to the selected venue. We do not include any extra seat. We deal with companies which that are flexible regarding instruments on board. In our experience with international flights, we used to deal with Aeroflot which conditions are: it may carry musical instruments in the cabin- on items under special conditions. When transporting a musical instrument in the cabin (except for guitars) whose total dimensions exceed 135 cm but do not exceed 135×50×30 cm, the passenger seat baggage transport rules apply.
